Do I need travel insurance?
Answer
<p>Not mandatory but highly encouraged.</p> <p>Although Healthcare is free in Bhutan, due to poor resources your ailments might not be treated in the best way. If you do get very sick you might require an air ambulance to evacuate you to a center with better resources like in India or Thailand. These can get very expensive if you do not have insurance.</p>
